What Is It?
A flexible hardware MIDI thru matrix switch with 3 inputs and 10 thrus. A switch on each input decides the destination thru.
Inputs
- α Alpha
- β Beta
- γ Gamma
Routing
Any of the 3 inputs can be routed to any of the 10 thrus. E.g.:
Input Alpha → thrus 1–4 · Input Beta → thrus 5–7 · Input Gamma → thrus 8–10 — or any other combination.
It cannot combine inputs — it is not a merge unit, rather a switch.
How Is It Powered?
- Comes with a 1m 2.1mm-to-USB lead to power from USB
- No USB? Can also use pretty much any 5V DC "wallwart" type power pack, 2.1mm positive tip
Can I use a mobile phone power bank?
Usually no — see the Power section on our FAQ page for details.

I approached mr mindbender with an idea borrowed from a device which was no longer in production. His response was genius. Here you have a device which will connect any 3 midi inputs to any 10 outputs. This means you can quickly switch between your daw's midi output, or a midi keyboard, or midi wind controller or in my case a midi bass guitar and have these inputs connect to any number of sound modules, synths and other hardware, all without disconnecting midi cables or routing through a computer. My usual daisy-chain of midi through connections has been greatly simplified by this handy box. You won't find this box of tricks anywhere else. Thanks again M.
Great piece of kit
